The One near the zip wire
Visit in May and you’ll find Birch Yurt surrounded by native bluebells carpeting the forest floor around it. Inside the yurt, keep yourself warm with the super-toasty Godin woodburner, designed specially to take logs that will continue to burn throughout the night. A supply of these chopped wood logs will be in the yurt on arrival. Lots of spare woollen blankets, lovely kilims and big cushions – keeping the hygge factor high!
Birch now has its own privy and safari kitchen – just in time for social distancing. You can still use the cabaña-style kitchen as well. This spare kitchen (once our only one!) has turned into a wonderful bar. Running water, two-burner hob, all your cooking implements and crockery, cutlery and glasses. You also have a fire bowl and supply of camp fire wood just alongside your yurt where a picnic table sits in a circular glade. Birch Yurt is our closest to the zip wire – easy for keeping an eye on the kids. It’s dog-friendly like all our yurts, with two spare camp beds located under the double bed
The hot shower and privy (shared with Redwood Yurt) are located behind Birch Yurt.
